Merry Monday #109 - Use flowers

Good morning everyone.  I finally had time to make a card for Merry Monday #109 Bonnie's challenge - to use flower(s) on your Christmas project.  I love using flowers on my projects so this was perfect for me.  I knew I wanted to use the Spellbinder's Poinsettia die, it makes such a pretty flower.

I used SU Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke CS and added some gold pearls to the center.  The base and sentiment panel are SU Naturals White and the DSP is from Christmas Cocoa (retired), and matted it with Choc. Chip CS. The sentiment is from SU More Merry Messages stamped in Choc. Chip ink.  I added paper-piercing to the edges.  The poinsettia is mounted with foam dimensionals.
The layout is based on the Freshly Made Sketches #137

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Happy Friday everyone.  It is time for another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge.  Our sponsor this week is EMMA and the winner gets 5 digi images.  Here is my card;

My card base is SU Naturals White, the mats are SU Always Artichoke and the DSP is from the Basic Gray Wassail 6x6 pad.  The image is a stamp by Stamps Happen, Inc. called "Holly Frost Fairy".  I stamped her in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut her out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Scalloped Ovals.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions "Christmas Blessings", and is matted on a Spellbinders Fancy Tags diecut.  The image panel and sentiment panel are  mounted with foam dimensionals.

Seize the Birthday - Tags

Hello all my stamping friends, it is Thursday and time for a new Seize the Birthday challenge.  This week our "toppings" option is to use a tag on your card.  Here is my card:
My card base and tag base is SU Coastal Cabana, and the mats are SU Whisper White.  The DSP is from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss.  The butterflies and flower from Verve's Petals and Stem (replaced with Petals and Wings) are stamped in Momemto Tuxedo Black ink on some of the DSP.  The stem for the flower is stamped in SU Pear Pizzazz.  The flower and tag are mounted with foam dimensionals.  I glued the center of the butterflies down and lifted the wings up.  I added a button to the center of the flower and some white Baker's Twine to the tag.  The sentiment is from a set from TPC Studio "Card Crafting Happy Birthday".  I cut the tag with MFT Pierced Tags Die-namics in White and Coastal Cabana and trimmed the white one a little to fit inside the blue mat.

I am also entering my card in The Paper Players #196 - "Clean and Simple Floral". I used floral paper and stamped a flower.

Now hop over to the Seize the Birthday blog and check out all the fabulous cards by my fellow Design Team members.  I'm sure you will be inspired to play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Happy Friday everyone.  It is time for another challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and this week our sponsor is QKR Stampede
I have used the adorable "Sledding Bear" digital image from our sponsor.  I think he is so cute.  Here is my card:
I printed the image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with Promarkers.  I also drew the little snow hill behind him and sponged some SU Bashful Blue ink for the sky.  I cut him out with the MFT Stitched Circle Die-namics and Circle Stax Die-namics for the Real Red mat and mounted with foam tape.  The sentiment is from SU Christmas Punch (retired).  I used my Real Red marker and only did the sentiment, it actually has a bracket around it also.  I used the 1-3/8" and 1-1/2" circle punches, it is mounted with foam tape also.  The DSP is from an older DCWV Christmas Matstack.  The cardbase is MFT Smooth White CS.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my fellow Design Team members over on the CSAYL blog.  I hope you will play along with us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great weekend.

Seize the Birthday - Flowers

Hi stamping friends, it is Thursday and time for another Seize the Birthday challenge.  This week we have the "toppings" option of flowers.  Remember it is an option and if you prefer, you can just make a regular birthday project.  Here's my card:
I used last week's SC486 sketch from Splitcoast Stampers.
I used MFT Smooth White CS and SU Old Olive CS.  The DSP is from Pebbles "Front Porch" (floral) and "Garden Party" (chevron & blue).  The sentiment from The TPC Studio and the flower from SU Secret Garden are stamped in SU Cherry Cobbler. The flower was cut out with the matching Framelits die.  I added a white brad from my stash and mounted it with foam dimensionals. The leaves from Secret Garden are stamped in Old Olive and cut with the matching Framelits die.  I added the Old Olive borders to the center panel and used the SU Scallop Border punch.  The butterfly from SU Papillon Potpourri is stamped in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by my fellow Design Team members over at the Seize the Birthday blog.  I hope you can play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry Monday #106 - A Very Merry Christmas to You

I am playing along with Merry Monday #106 challenge to use a gingerbread man or woman on your Christmas card.    I used this cute CTMH Gingerbread Joy that I have had for ages.  He is so cute.  I stamped him in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored him with Promarkers and cut him out.  I paper-pieced his green bow and the bands on his legs.  He is mounted with foam dimensionals on DSP from Recollections Festivities 6x6 pad.  All the DSP is from that pad.  The card base is MFT Electric Red and the white is MFT Smooth White.  The sentiment from SU More Merry Messages is stamped in MFT Electric Red ink and cut out with a Spellbinder's die.  The circle and scallop circle were also cut using Spellbinder's dies.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
