Merry Christmas for Merry Monday #123 & JUGS #256

Good morning my blogging friends.  Today I combined two challenges for my card - Merry Monday Christmas Challenge (use a wreath on your card) and Marisa's challenge on JUGS Wild Card Week (anything other than a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card).

I made a center step card and made it a Christmas card with a wreath.
My card base is SU Whisper White and the mats are Real Red CS.  The DSP is from the Lawn Fawn Peace, Love & Joy 6x6 pad.  The sentiment and wreath are from Verve's O Christmas Tree set.  I stamped both in Mememto Tuxedo Black ink and colored the wreath with Promarkers and cut it out.  I paper-pieced the bow with Real Red CS and added gold rhinestones to the centers of the poinsettias.  I then mounted it with foam dimensionals and added the two green buttons tied with white Baker's Twine.  The die-cut flourish is from MFT's Formal Flourish

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Birthday Wishes for MFTWSC190

MFTWSC190
This is my card for the weekly sketch at My Favorite Things.  The card base is MFT Smooth White and the mats are SU Blackberry Bliss.  The DSP is from the SU Moonlight DSP pad.  The curve is cut with a die from Blueprints 16.  The sentiment is from Birthday Chalkboard Greetings (stamped in Blackberry Bliss) and the  cupcake is from Sweet Birthday Wishes. I masked sections of the cupcake and stamped it in Blackberry Bliss and then Hello Honey.  I used a blending pen to add ink to the top of the cupcake and then mounted it with foam tape.  The glittered adhesive dot in the corner is by Recollections from Michael's.  It is brown, but has a purplish tint so it goes with the Blackberry Bliss CS.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary for 3 challenges

I made my card for a couple at church using JUGS #254 color challenge and Viva La Verve August Week 3 sketch.  I am also playing in Verve's Diva Dare for August to create a celebration card as they are celebrating their 7th year.  Yea, Congrats Verve.

I used SU Whisper White, Midnight Muse and Certainly Celery cs and ink.  I used 4 Verve stamp sets:  Elegant Flower Plain Jane, Grateful Elegance (flower), Making a Statement (scalloped frame) and Love Story for the sentiment.  I turned the Week 3 sketch sideways to fit the sentiment better.  I layered the flowers with foam dimensionals and added a pearl to the center. The white panel is embossed with SU Finial Press EF.  The green ribbon is from last year's SU Sale-A-Bration.

Happy Birthday for MFTWSC189

This is my second post today.  Please scroll down for my Merry Monday card.

MFTWSC189
My card is for MFTWSC #189.  I used MFT  Smooth White CS, SU Basic Black for mats, and DSP from Studio Calico Snippets 6x6 pad.  I stamped the PI Happy Banner on X-Press It Blending Card with Mememto Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored her with Copics, paper-pieced her dress, bow and happy banner, then cut her out.  She is mounted with foam dimensionals.  The Birthday is from MFT Birthday Sentiments stamped in black ink on DSP.  I cut it out with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags using only the plain end and running it through twice without cutting all the way. I added a Kraft Button tied with Jute Cord and my card was done.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seasons Greetings for Merry Monday

Today's card is for Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #121 - use pine cones, greens and plaid ribbon.  I got it done just in time to post it.
ETA:  My card was an Honorable Mention at Merry Monday.

The card base and main panel is MFT Smooth White CS.  I stamped the panel with MFT Wood Plank Background in Sahara Sand ink.  The mat is SU Always Artichoke.  I used MFT Winter Wreath die to cut out 3 layers in SU Old Olive and Always Artichoke CS, layered them and mounted them with tiny pieces of foam dimensionals.  The pine cones are from SU Watercolor Winter and stamped in SU Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake CS and sponged lightly with Soft Suede ink.  The sentiment from Inspired by Stamping's Festive Frames is stamped in Always Artichoke on a banner cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.  I didn't cut the top end, but placed it back in the die and cut the flag end again to make it longer.  I then scored it, folded the ends and adhered it with foam dimensionals.  I added the plaid ribbon to the wreath and my card was done.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

I printed her on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  I then cut her out with an MFT Pierced Circle die and sponged Bashful Blue ink around the image. She is matted with black cut out with MFT Circle Stax die.  The sentiment is from Verve's Holiday Treats and punched with SU 1-3/8" and 1-1/2" punches.  Both the image and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.  The red DSP is from Pebbles Welcome Christmas pad and the green DSP is from Lawn Fawn's Peace, Joy, Love pad.  The white CS is embossed with a Holly EF by The Paper Studio. Birthday Wishes for JUGS & FMS

This is my second post today.  Scroll down for my Seize the Birthday card.

This is my card for the JUGS #253 challenge to use washi tape and I used the Freshly Made Sketches #149 challenge.
My card is more CAS than I usually do, but I like the end result.  I think this is my first time using washi tape on a card.  I have had several rolls for awhile but never got around to using it.  The pink print is washi tape by Recollections from Michael's.  I turned the sketch sideways and used my new stamp from MFT Chalkboard Greetings stamped in SU Melon Mambo.  The card base is Melon Mambo CS, the mats are Basic Black and Whisper White CS.  The large panel is embossed with the new SU Large Polk Dot EF.  I added 4 rhinestones to the sentiment panel and my card was done.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Hello my friends.  It is Thursday and time for a new Seize the Birthday challenge.  It is "anything goes" for a birthday and there is no option this week.  Here is my card:

Merry Monday #120 - Skis, Skates, or Sled

Good morning everyone.  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I got my card done for the Merry Monday #120 Christmas Challenge - to use Skis, Skates, or Sleds on your Christmas card.
Here is my card:

I am using this cute "Sledding Bear" digi image from QKR Stampede.  I printed him on X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with Promarkers.  I drew a sloping hill and sponged some clouds in the background.  He is cut out with MFT's Pierced Rectangle dies.  I had to put it back in the die and cut a little off of one end as it was too long, but it worked.  The red snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch, and I added a white enamel dot to the center.  I used an older Deconstructed Sketch #160 for my layout.  The DSP is from Echo Park's Very Merry Christmas 6x6 pad.  The mats are SU Choc. Chip and the card base is MFT's Smooth White CS.

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your day.

Merry Monday and MFTWSC187

Happy Saturday my friends.  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I combined two challenges for my card today - Merry Monday Christmas Challenge and MFTWSC187

MFTWSC187

As you can see it is not a Christmas card and that is because Merry Monday is having a special birthday tribute to one of their design team members. a sweet lady, LeAnne.
I stamped the cute MFT PI It's A Sign image on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics and Promarkers.  I paper-pierced the chalkboard border with some woodgrain paper from my stash and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.  I also added two balloons, SU Riding Hood Red and Certainly Celery CS, (I hand drew the strings) and a present, both from MFT's Sweet Birthday Wishes set paper pieced with DSP.  I sponged the edges with ink and mounted the red balloon and present with foam dimensionals.  The DSP is from Pepples Front Porch 6x6 pad.  The card base and MFT Simply Scallop Medium die-cut is from MFT Smooth White CS. The mats are SU Basic Black.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

Hello friends.  It is Friday and time for another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge.  Our sponsor this week is Emma Canning and we are suppose to do one layer cards.  As you can see from my card I forgot it was supposed to be one layer and have several layers.  I love this sweet image by Emma called "Bauble Gown".

The digital image is printed on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics and Promarkers.  I cut it out with MFT Vertical Greetings II die.  It was a little long, so I stuck it back in the die, overlapping one end and cut a little off.  I hand cut the Real Red mat.  The DSP is from Echo Park's Tis the Season 6x6 pad.  The mats are SU Basic Black and the card base is MFT Smooth White CS.  The sentiment is from MFT Christmas Ornaments and is cut out with MFT Fishtail Flags Stax die.  I trimmed the white layer down just a little so it would fit in the black layer.  The sentiment and image panel are mounted with foam dimensionals.

Check out the great cards over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and you will be inspired to play along.  Hope to see your creations there.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Stamping,
