Christmas Card Challenges #26 - Anything Goes

Good Sunday Morning my blogging friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it is "Anything Goes", as long as it is Chritmas.

I stamped the cute "Snow Girl" stamp by Stampendous with Mememto Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with Copics.  I cut her with the Stitched Rounded Rectangle die by Lil Inkers and sponged SU Bashful Blue ink around the edges before removing the die.  I used Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil and molding paste for the snow fall, and then added some White Flower Soft to the hat brim and top.  The DSP is from Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love 6x6 pad.  The black mats are Recollections CS and the card base is MFT Smooth White.

I hope you will check out the great creations by my teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges and you will play along with us this week.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Happy Stamping,

Happy 50th Anniverary

I had a request to make a 50th Anniversary card so here is what I came up with.
I used SU Very Vanilla CS and Anna Griffin DSP.  I cut the gold paper mat with a die from MFT Blueprints 20 and the gold heart is cut using Spellbinders Lace Hearts and the scallop heart is cut with Spellbinders Scallop Hearts die.  I went around the scallops with a gold pen.  The Happy Anniversary is cut with a die by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  The "50th" is cut with my Cricut.  The small flower from Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms is stamped with Versamark Ink on Very Vanilla twice and cut out with the matching die.   I shaped the petals, layered them over a SU Gold Ribbon bow and hot glued them to my card.  The vertical gold strip is punched with SU Scalloped Ribbon Border punch.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Good morning stamping friends.  It is Sunday and time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.    This week it is "Anything Goes" as long as it is for Christmas.

I used SU Midnight Muse CS and ink.  The DSP is from American Crafts Jack Frost 6x6 pad.  The image and sentiment are from Verve's Weary World and I added a glitter paper star over the stamped star.  The image panel is cut with Lil' Inker's Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles.   I used my corner rounder punch on the sentiment panel. The white panel is embossed with a Darice EF.   I added some Midnight Muse ribbon and my card was done.

I am also playing along with the Viva la Verve Week 1 sketch challenge.

Wishing You A Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday stamping friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week there is no "Toppings", just make it a birthday project.
For my card I decided to use a loopy flower that I found the tutorial for here.
I used some colored jute I found at Michael's and coordinated the papers with it.  The DSP is from a 12/12 pad by My Mind's Eye.  I used SU Rose Red (a perfect match) and Whisper White.  I also used the SU Scallop Ribbon Border punch.  The sentiment is from MFT's Spring Tulips and is cut with a die from MFT's Blueprints 20.  I fussy got the Rose Red mat.  The leaves are cut with MFT Royal Leaves die.  I sponged Old Olive ink around the edges and shaped the leaves a little for dimension.  The white panel is embossed with SU Decorative Dots EF.

Make sure you check out all the fabulous creations by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday.  Can't wait to see what you are inspired to create.

Christmas Cheer

Good Sunday Morning my friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and we have an inspiration photo for you this week.

I took my inspiration from the stripes and from the gingerbread man.  I used an old Close to My Heart Gingerbread Man stamp.  I stamped him on SU Crumb Cake CS and paper-pieced his big red bow and the icing on his legs.  I sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges before fussy cutting him out and adhereing his bow.  The sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping Festive Frames.  I cut the SU Naturals Ivory with Spellbinders Labels Seventeen, traced the die on Riding Hood Red CS and cut the mat out.  The DSP is from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday 6x6 pad. and the card base is Naturals Ivory.

My teammates over at Christmas Card Challenges have got some great cards to inspire you.  I hope you will play along with us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week.

Thank You

ETA:  Yea,  my card won over at Verve's Let It Bloom challenge.

For my card I used SU Strawberry Slush CS and DSP.  The white panel is embossed with my new Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Poppy EF.  I used another of my favorite flowers by Verve from their Grateful Elegance set (sorry, no longer available).  I stamped the images on white, fussy cut them, and inked the petals with Strawberry Slush ink.  The leaves are cut with MFT Royal Leaves die from SU Certainly Celery CS.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in black and punched with a 1-3/8" SU circle punch and matted with a 1-1/2" circle punch.  The flowers and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.  I also used SU Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch for the cross piece.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Three for One

This is my first time playing in the Mojo Monday challenge in quite awhile.  I also combined it with the Verve Inspiration Challenge - "Let It Bloom" and the Color Me Challenge - Crisp Canteloupe plus Neutral.

ETA:  Yea, My card was the top choice at Color Me.

I made this card for some friends that recently lost their father, a good Christian man.

I used SU Crisp Canteloupe CS and DSP.  The white panel is embossed with Darice Intricate Swirls EF.  The sentiment panel is cut with Lil Inkers Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangle die and the sentiment is from Verve's Wonderfully Made.  The flower from Verve's One Person (sorry it is no longer available).  This is one of my favorite Verve flowers.  I stamped it twice and cut out the center layer, inked the petal edges and mounted it with foam tape.  The leaves are stamped on Crumb Cake CS.  The banners are cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags Die, adhered the top with foam tape and glued the bottom edges to the sentiment panel.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a wonderful week.

Seize the Birthday - Use the Negative

Happy Thursday my friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the option of "Use the Negative".  Remember it is an "option" and you prefer, you can just make a regular birthday project.
For my card I used the negative cuts from the Spellbinders Label 17 dies with DSP from American Crafts Hip, Hip Hooray 6x6 pad.  The card base is MFT Smooth White and I stamped the greeting from SU Big Day (Sale-a-Bration) set in the opening.  I colored it with SU markers.  The cake image is from the same set.  I colored it with SU markers, fussy cut it out, and glued on the DSP.  I stamped the balloon from SU Crazy for Cupcakes (retired) on the opposite side and stamped the balloon again on a scrap of DSP, fussy cut it and glued it over the stamped image.  I glued the two DSP together and adhered them with foam tape to the card base.

You need to check out all the fabulous cards by my teammates over at Seize the Birthday and I hope you will join us in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for MFTWSC226

Good morning friends.  I finally had a chance to do the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge.  I had a very busy week.  Here's my card:
My card base is MFT Natural CS, then a layer of Smooth White embossed with a Cuttlebug EF - Matlasse.  I used a scrap of Recollections Peach to cut the scallop panel with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  I put it back in the die to cut it down some.  I stamped it with MFT Damask Background in SU Crisp Canteloupe ink.  The tag was cut with MFT Tag Builder Blueprints 1 and stamped with the MFT Happy Birthday Background in Natural ink.  I cut the MFT Upsy Daisy Die from the peach paper and sponged the petal edges with Natural ink.  The center and leaves are cut from Natural CS.  The flower and tag are mounted with foam tape.  The banner is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 23.  The sentiment is from SU Something to Celebrate set.  The sheer ribbon is an older SU ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful week.

Christmas Card Challenges #22

Good Morning friends.  I hope your are having a wonderful Sunday.
It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a color inspiration for you.
Here is my card.
I stamped the stocking from PowerPoppy Poinsettia set and colored it with Copics.  I cut it out and mounted it with foam tape on a tag cut with MFT Blueprints Tag Buildiers 1 die.  I did shorten the tag a little to make it fit my card better.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is stamped in SU Cherry Cobbler ink on an MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.  I inked around the edges of the banner and tag with Cherry Cobbler ink.  The DSP is some older SU Christmas paper.  Tag is cut from a piece of scrap music paper, not sure which pad it came from, MME I think.  The tag is also mounted with foam tape.  I added some sheer gold ribbon to the top.

I hope you will check our all the fabulous creations by my teammates at Christmas Card Challenges and be inspired to play along with us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
