Birthday Wishes

Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend.  I used SU Birthday Blooms, colored it with Promarkers and fussy cut it out.  It is mounted on a circle cut with MFT Pierced Circle die.  The DSP and mats are SU Perfect Plum.  The white panel is embossed with SU Vintage Wallpaper EF.  The sentiment is from SU Occasional Quotes stamped in Perfect Plum ink.

I used Mojo Monday Sketch #440 from last week and this card by Narelle for inspiration.

Good morning friends.  Happy Easter and Happy Resurrection Sunday.  I wish you all a Blessed day.
Mount Calvary Crosses Still - SD & HD included!

It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and we have a color challenge this week.

The colors on my card appear lighter in the photo than they really are.  I used SU Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke.  The poinsettia is from SU Joyful Christmas embossed in white.  I fussy cut it out and added pearls to the center.  The white panel is embossed with an older Cuttlebug EF called Candy Cane Stripes.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames.

Seize the Birthday - Water

Hello Friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we have the "Toppings" option of using water on your birthday project.

I made a masculine card with this image from Our Daily Bread Designs The Waves on the Sea.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card and colored it with Promarkers.  I cut the image out with MFT Circle Stax 1 and the mat with Circle Stax 2 dies.  The mats are SU Night of Navy and the DSP is from an older SU Nautical Expedition pack.  The scallop mat is cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  The sentiment from SU Four You is stamped in Night of Navy ink.  I sponged the clouds with a cloud die cut and Bashful Blue ink.  The image panel is mounted with foam tape.

Peace on Earth for Christmas Card Challenges

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and this week we have a photo challenge for you.

For my card I embossed the SU Crumb Cake layer with Darice Snowflake Background EF, and then swiped my Whisper White Craft Ink pad over it to highlight the snowflakes.  I matted it on a Soft Suede mat cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20. I die cut 3 layers each with the Maryanne Snowflake from Simon Says Stamp, and layered them for more dimension and sturdiness.  The sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Festive Frames is stamped in Soft Suede ink and punched with the SU Window Punch.

Now hop over to Christmas Card Challenges and check out all the great cards by the designers.  I hope you will play along with us this week.

Look Who's Turning 70

My sister requested a card for a friend who likes owls, so I used the inspiration from the Fusion Challenge and made this card.   The owls are stickers by Recollections.  I did the sentiment on the computer and stamped the 70 from SU Memorable Moments.  The sentiment panel is cut with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles.  The DSP is from Recollections Home Basics 6x6 pad.

This was a quick card as I am not used to using stickers, but I think it turned out cute.  I hope her friend likes it.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Merry Christmas

Good morning friends.  It is Sunday and time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week it is anything goes for Christmas.

I used DSP from American Crafts Wish List 6x6 pad which matches my image quite well.  It is a digital image that I have had (colored with Copics) for quite some time and don't remember where I got it from.  I copied the image and made a stencil for the part of candle wax that was dripping, then I applied modeling paste for some texture.  It actually looks like dripping wax in real life.  I also used my Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some shine to the flower and candle flame.  The image was die cut with MFT Rounded Banner Stax, and then I sponged SU Crumb Cake ink around the edges.  The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes (an older retired set) and punched with the SU Window punch.

You can see the sparkle better in this photo.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by the designers over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will join us this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I always appreciate it when you take the time to leave me a comment.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday friends.  We have a new challenge for you over at Seize the Birthday and this week we have
Of course it is an option and you just have to keep it a birthday theme.

I divided the main panel of my card in thirds using the 3 colors of my flower, pink, yellow & green.  I used the older SU Subtles DSP of Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery and So Saffron in the same stripe pattern.  This is my first time using that beautiful flower from SU Birthday Blooms.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored it with Promarkers, and then fussy cut it out. I mounted it on a panel cut with SU Lots of Labels Framelits die.  The sentiment is from SU Simply Sketched.  I fussy cut the black mat around the die cut and mounted it with foam tape.

I am also entering my card in Just Us Girls Word Week challenge #333 - use flowers (my favorite thing to use on my cards).
and Darnell's NBUS #6 (never before used schtuff) since this is my first time using the Birthday Blooms set.
Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (Stamps, Dies, EFs, etc.)

Happy Anniversary for MOJO Monday #438

This is my card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch challenge #438
ETA:  Yea, I'm a winner at Mojo Monday.

I made an anniversary card as it will be going to a couple at church.  The DSP is from my stash, I am not sure who it is by.  I used SU Basic Black and Pink Pirouette.   The flower is from Verve's One Person (no longer available, but it is one of my favorite Verve flowers).  I stamped it twice, colored with Promarkers, fussy cut it and layered it.  The swirly design is from Verve's Peace on Earth and the sentiment is from Verve's Love Story.   The flower and sentiment panel are mounted with foam tape.  The doily is a Top Dog die.

Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas

Good morning friends.  This week we have a color challenge for you over at Christmas Card Challenges.  They are very pretty colors, but not the traditional Christmas colors.

For my card I used DSP from My Mind's Eye Merry Little Christmas 6x6 pad.  The sentiment from MFT Grand Holiday Greetings was stamped in Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder. The corners were rounded with my SU Corner Rounder punch.  I used silver glitter paper for the mats.  The snowflakes are by The Paper Studio, they have silver glitter on them also.

Now check out all the fabulous creations by the designers over at Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you will play along this week.
